Supervised residential group
The supervised residential group of CONCORDIA Bulgaria Foundation is a cozy apartment close to center of Sofia. In it live adults at risk between the ages of 18 and 35 and the capacity is 4 places. They are employed and have the resources and motivation to be independent and to further develop themselves. They are unable to stay with their biological family du to various complicate social and economic issues and they have the opportunity to live in the Supervised group for a period of 1 year. The residential group takes care of the hygiene themselves and for division of all activities in the apartment. They pay rent, utilities bills and including for communication (TV, phone, internet) as they split it equally. A social worker assists with resolving social and household issues and if they need support for administrative, health and mental care questions, the young adults can turn to our experts.
Our main goal with the support we provide at the Supervised residential group for the accommodated young adults is to strengthen their skills for independent living such as finding and keeping employment, planning their own budgets and free time, to motivate them to live a fulfilling life, to use the resources they have sustainably created (both financial and personal) and in this way to become the drivers of their own change. We firmly believe that realizing their potential, capabilities and interests and building up their self-determined life is the key to an equal dignified life outside of risk.
