Children’s shelter “Svetlina” in CONCORDIA Bulgaria Foundation is a state delegated service by Sofia Municipality. The service has a capacity of 12 places and is intended for children between the ages of 3 and 18, who are victims of different kinds of abuse. The children are placed in accordance with the Child Protection Act and can stay for 6 months.

Here we aim at providing security and safety for all of the children and breaking the cycle of abuse by stimulating positive relationships. The children are supported by a team of specialists who help each child individually according to their personal needs. We work actively with the parents of the children. Often we organize cultural activities by visiting galleries, museums concerts and sport activities as well.

With our work in Children’s Shelter “Svetlina” with priority for children victims of abuse we strive to help the children overcome their difficulties and to continue living with their families or relatives and to confidently develop their abilities and talents.

In Children’s Shelter “Svetlina” we provide the following social services with license from the Bulgarian Agency for Quality of Social Services:

• Therapy and rehabilitation
