Family center “Posoka” in CONCORDIA Bulgaria Foundation is a state delegated service by Sofia Municipality. The building in the Orlandovzi area where the service is located is our own. Family center “Posoka” has a capacity of 25 children between the ages of 3 and 18 years. They are from socially neglected and poor families, at risk of exclusion or already excluded from school.

In Family center “Posoka” people in need can receive support for a period of 6 months. They can come to us voluntarily and receive access to public services as per their needs. They can also be referred by the Child Protection Department or the Municipality in which case they receive services in accordance with their recommendation.

We strive to provide a sustainable environment for personal development and improving family relationships through individual and group work. Our priority is prevention of exclusion from school, social isolation and neglect, as well as active work with the parents. We organize museum and gallery visits, mountain hikes and eco-friendly actions for cleaning the Kopitoto area. We also cover basic needs such as food, clothing and shoes, medical and dental help, establishing hygiene habits.

Our work at the Family center “Posoka” has the goal of building confidence in the children in their own abilities, to convince them that they can be successful and to support the parents in caring for their children and families.
